Despite the presence of ‘Superior Intelligence’ provided by
some of the world’s most advanced nations, the United States, Britain and
Israel, the abducted teenagers still have to rely on their gut to flee the hold
of the Boko Haram insurgents who abducted them from their school in Chibok on
the night of April 14.
According to reports from TheCable, one of the over 200
girls kidnapped last month from a Government Girls Secondary School in Chibok
by Boko Haram insurgents, has escaped. Dr. Pogu Bitrus, the National Chairman
of the Kibaku Area Development Association, confirmed the news, but refused to
reveal the identity of the girl, saying it could re-endanger her life.
“The girl is currently at a location I cannot disclose,” he
said. “But I can assure you that she is safe.” Pogu further revealed that four
other girls escaped last week, but they were shielded from the media in the
interest of their safety, Dr. Bitrus made the revelation to online news portal,
TheCable. Another source said, “It is true. I have just confirmed that one girl
escaped.”
