Maya Angelou was remembered on Saturday at a private
memorial service at the North Carolina university where she taught for 30
years.
First Lady Michelle Obama was among the speakers paying
tribute at Wake Forest University’s Wait Chapel.
Other key speakers included Oprah Winfrey, who was seen at
the chapel on Monday helping with the organisation, and former US President
Bill Clinton.
Although the service was private, it was streamed online by
the University for members of the public to follow.
