Former President of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo in an
interview on the hausa service of the British Broadcasting Corporation said that
some of the over 200 teenagers abducted by suspected men of the Boko Haram sect
are pregnant and might (not) be released soon.
Obasanjo who said,
that he had opened a communication link with the infamous sect, revealed some
of the girls are pregnant and will find it hard to cater for their babies in
Sambisa forest.
The former
commander-in-chief also expressed fear
that the girls might never come back, and he says that he could reach out to the violent Islamic
sect, Boko Haram, over the abduction of the Chibok girls, but regretted that
the Federal Government was yet to give him the go ahead.
