Boy Kills His Father Over A Stick Of Cigarette..

A 19- year-old boy, Bestman Momodu, has been arrested by the police in Edo State for allegedly hacking his father, Zubeiru Momodu to death over N10 worth of cigarette.

The incident occurred on August 16 at Ubiane, Aviele in Estako West local government area of the state.

Bestman was said to have smoked the cigarette belonging to his father and a fracas ensued after the father discovered the cigarette missing.

It was during the fracas that the suspect brought out a cutlass and cut his father three times, killing him instantly.

Bestman was among the 68 suspects paraded by the Edo State Police Command on Monday.

Best Momodu, an indigene of Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State,  said he committed the dastard act with anger after he stole a stick of cigarette from his father.

He said: “I stole his cigarette and he found out. So he started shouting at me and quarrelling. So, mistakenly I took a knife and stabbed him. 

I have not seen the dead body but I heard he died. But the community people arrested me after I killed him.
