A reporter with ESPN Britt McHenry, recently insulted a towing
company employee—and her remarks were caught in a video that’s now making the
web rounds.
McHenry starts off by saying, “I’m in the news, sweetheart.
I will f–king sue this place.” The employee warns her that she’s being
videotaped, likely by a security camera, but McHenry continues: “I wouldn’t
work at a scumbag place like this,” she mumbles. “It makes my skin crawl even
being here.”
She goes on to criticize the employee’s looks and education.
“Yep, that’s all you care about is just taking people’s money,” she says, “with
no education, no skill set. Just wanted to clarify that.”
McHenry herself wrote an apology on Twitter Thursday
afternoon: “In an intense and stressful moment, I allowed my emotions to get
the best of me and said some insulting and regrettable things,” she said. “As
frustrated as I was, I should always choose to be respectful and take the high
road. I am so sorry for my actions and will learn from this mistake.” Watch the
video below.
