It was reported that 8 people where killed today in a bomb blast that ripped through The Kano School of Hygiene.

Police Command, Adenrele Shinaba confirmed the casualty figure saying that
eight people were killed in the Monday afternoon car bomb attack.
Shinaba said the attack also
resulted to 12 persons sustaining various degrees on injuries. The injured
victims of the blast have been hospitalized.
A car laden bomb said to have been
located in the school exploded in the school located within Kano city.
The Nigeria Police force in Kano
State said it had arrested a suspect in connection with Monday afternoon’s bomb
blast at the Kano State School of Hygiene, BUK Road, which killed eight people
and injured 12 others.
“The suspect is in our custody, and
the vehicle he used for the operation has also been towed to the police
headquarters,” Shinaba said.
“We will get to know the motive
behind the attack, and who sent him on this deadly errand.”.
“There was an explosion in the
school this afternoon and it happened right inside the school premises. That is
why we had to move in,” he said.
I want to confirm to you that 20
people were moved to the hospital, but eight were confirmed dead and 12 others
injured.”
