Accidental Discharge, Not Bomb Caused An Explosion In Gombe's Government House.

There were reports yesterday that , a massive explosion rocked the Gombe State Governor’s House.

The reports went on to say that the Police, Fire Department and Military men were at the scene and no group had claimed responsibility for the attack.

Alhaji Abdullahi Jalo, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, explained it was not a terror attack. Jalo described the incident as “an accidental discharge” by policemen on guard duty. 

“It is true that there was some kind of explosion in an armored car near the House of the Governor of Gombe State. It was not a bomb attack.

 It was an accidental discharge, I cannot confirm casualties yet but I understand there were some.”
