Melanie Griffith filed for divorce from Antonio Banderas early
this morning in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.
The couple had been married for 18 years. Griffith, 56, seeks
spousal support from Banderas, 53, as well as physical custody for their
17-year-old daughter, Stella, with visitation rights. The pair co-starred in
the 1995 romantic comedy Two Much together.
This is the actress’ fourth divorce and his second. She’s
also mother to 24-year-old Dakota Johnson, who stars in the upcoming Fifty
Shades of Grey movie, who she had with Miami Vice star Don Johnson. They got
married twice.
She was also married
to Scarface actor Steven Bauer, with whom she has a 28-year-old son, Alexander
Bauer.
The Desperado actor Banderas divorced his first wife, Ana Leza, in
1996 after nine years of marriage.
