Roberto Firmino
Roberto Firmino is another Chelsea target this summer. The
22-year-old Brazilian scored 16 goals and picked up 11 assists last season in
just 33 matches. Roberto Firmino Barbosa de Oliveira (born 2 October 1991) is a
Brazilian footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for 1899 Hoffenheim
in the Bundesliga.
With Frank Lampard being released by Chelsea this summer,
they need to sign someone like Sami Khedira to have in that central-midfield
role. Jose Mourinho is a big fan of the German player, having worked with him
at Real Madrid. It is said that Arsenal
are also weighing up a £16m bid for Real Madrid and Germany star.
4) Felipe Luis
Another Atletico Madrid star Chelsea are targeting is Felipe
Luis. With Ashley Young leaving Stamford Bridge, Chelsea need to sign another
left-back. Felipe Luis with have a lot of experience having won La Liga last
season and reaching the final of the Champions League. He's just the player
that Chelsea need. He currently plays as a defender for Atlético Madrid.
3) Mario Mandzukic
This transfer isn't the most likely with Chelsea already
agreeing a deal for Diego Costa. However, there is no doubt that he would be a
brilliant addition to the Chelsea team. The Chelsea team lacked some important
goals last season and this man would be the person to score those goals. He
plays for Bayern Munich.
2) Paul Pogba
Yet again, another striker on the list. It's been reported
that Paul Pogba would welcome a return to the Premier League (having left Manchester
United to Juventus). However, Juventus are asking for a transfer fee in excess
of £60million.
1) Luke Shaw
18-year-old Luke Shaw is a boyhood fan of Chelsea and he
would definitely welcome a move to Stamford Bridge. He has an incredible season
at Southampton and certainly impressed at lot of people. The main stumbling
block with be the asking price in which Southampton are wanted which is likely
to be over £30million. Manchester United seem to have trumphed Chelsea in the
race for Luke Shaw by offering the Southampton defender a whopping
£160,000-a-week.
7) Diego Costa
According to numerous reports in the news, Diego Costa to
Chelsea is already a done seal. It has been reported that they have agreed a
£32million fee with Atletico Madrid and the move is imminent with personal
terms still to be agreed. It is likely that the transfer will be confirmed
soon.
