The reports came in that men suspected to be Boko Haram
members yesterday attacked a football
viewing center in Damaturu, Yobe State during a live football match between
Brazil and Mexico in the ongoing world cup in Brazil.
They reportedly
hauled explosives at the viewing center, injuring several people. Injured
people were rushed to nearby hospitals.
Yobe state Police commissioner told AFP that they have
deployed policemen to the scene and will give details on the incident later.
Several people reportedly lost their lives in the blast,
while a lot of people got injured though no figures officially.
The injured were taken to the Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital
in Damaturu, according to Channels TV .
