Stacey Owen may have expected bouncers in Spinningfields,
Manchester, to check whether she was dressed correctly but definitely not to
determine if she was good looking enough to enter.
But that’s what reportedly happened when the 33-year-old
turned up at Neighbourhood bar with friends on Saturday night.
She now wants an apology.
‘I couldn’t believe what I’d just heard and asked him if he
could say it again to make sure – he repeated “you’re too fat, you’re not
getting in”, she said.
‘I know I’m not exactly a supermodel but I’ve never known
anything like it in terms of customer service. We were so shocked we didn’t
know what to do.’
Neighbourhood, on The Avenue North, has so far not responded
to requests for comment. Culled
Since when has it become a crime to be ''ugly and fat'' . Apparently some clubs do more to protect their clientele by not just turning away drunks and disorderly people, but also people without good looks. Wow that is so hurtful and arrogant. I think she should sue them, an apology is just not enough. What do you think?
