Senate throws out motion to suspend Moro

A motion moved by Senator Babafemi Ojudu representing Ekiti Central Senatorial district at the Senate calling for the suspension of Minister of Interior, Comrade Abbah Moro and the Comptroller-General of Immigration was thrown out following a voice vote.

At the end of Plenary the senate had directed that the Committee on Interior conducts a public investigation on the tragedy within a week and also asked the Federal Government to come out with a Marshal Plan about employment matters.

Meanwhile on the streets of lagos there was a peaceful protest organized by a  civil society group, Movement for Democracy Change and People's Rights  calling for the immediate sacking of the Minister of Interior Affairs, Comrade Abba Moro and the Comptroller General of Nigeria Immigration Service David Shikfru Paddang over the poor planning and execution of the Nigerian Immigration Service recruitment exercise that led to the untimely death of at least 20 applicants last Saturday across Nigeria.
