Mark Zukerberg Turns 30 Today

The Co_ founder of Facebook, Mark Zukerberg turns 30 today. He is an American computer programmer, Internet entrepreneur, and philanthropist. He is best known as one of five co-founders of the social networking website Facebook.

He was born 14th May 1984.

Zuckerberg  launched Facebook with colleagues who later became controversial. There’s investor Sean Parker, who helped build Napster and who was later pushed out of Facebook after being arrested for cocaine possession.

And then there’s Eduardo Saverin, Zuckerberg’s Brazilian-born Harvard buddy, who created a stir by renouncing his U.S. citizenship shortly before Facebook went public, sparking outraged accusations of tax dodging.

Zuckerberg still owns 29% of the company, constituting a hefty chunk of his estimated $26.6bn net worth. But his voting rights in Facebook, thanks to possession of a special class of shares, stand at 57%; even after all these years, what Zuckerberg says, goes.

Zukerberg on Forbes List is the 21st richest man in the world, 15th in the United States. He's an inspiration to many youths as he has been able to actualise the saying '' If you can think it, you can do it''.

Here's wishing him a happy birthday.
