The Nigerian blog sphere Is awash with the news of another
nollywood star, Muna Obiekwe, the actor
who featured prominently in English speaking films reportedly died after
a protracted battle with kidney failure.
The report says :
Muna Obiekwe passed away in the afternoon of Sunday, January
18, 2015 in a hospital in Festac, Lagos. He had been battling with kidney
disease for a long time which he reportedly kept secret from his colleagues in
the Nigerian entertainment industry. His condition deteriorated in recent
times, which eventually led to his death.
A reliable source who spoke with The Trent said Obiekwe was rushed to the hospital on Sunday morning
after he was found vomiting at home. Unfortunately he lost the battle and passed
away in the hospital.
In a bizarre twist, a twitter handle @munaibekwe debunked
the rumour claiming he’s still alive, no one wishes death on anybody and I really
hope it isn’t true.
He would surely be missed.
