Eko Ile!!!!!

Life in Lagos is fun, there is no doubt about it. There are several factors though that might make you doubt this, when it comes to insecurity, inadequate power supply, traffic jams etc.

But despite all these, life is fun in Lagos, we Lagosians generally believe if you have gone through the passage of rite in Lagos, you can absolutely live anywhere.

You learn how to develop a thick skin in Lagos, learn how to trade insults and of course learn how to jump into a moving vehicle if you do not have a car of your own.

The bus drivers and conductors are very good teachers of life in Lagos, if you have not been insulted by them for any reason at all, from your looks to the fact that you are in their vehicle, you probably just got to Lagos. (JJC)

Though personally, the fight and argument between a driver and his conductor is usually more entertaining, no holds barred.

You want a city where everyone has an opinion, its this adorable city. We are all analysts, analysing everything from politics to religion.

Lagos is the only city where everybody knows when Tinubu had a meeting inside his house and you can say boldly that Fashola postrated to him, also after the meeting, Buhari came in and also admonished Tinubu.

Right inside your own house oo, you figure out what is happening miles away simply because you are a lagosian.

The land that belongs to nobody, if you are asked and claim Lagos as your indigenous state, an ibo man will ask you to define it. Shuo

Lagos is where you are rushing off as usual and see a lot of people also rushing, pushing, hissing, sighing, fighting and then you see a man in suit also rushing, you stop to pick up something and lo and behold, you get to the newspaper stand and see this same man in the midst of an argument on the economic policies of the country.

The newspaper arena, every stand has them, from the young to the old, corporately dressed to the casually dressed, they all gather together to peruse the latest headlines and spend between 1 to 3 hours talking authoritatively on the affairs of the country.

If there was a match theday before in the premier league especially matches involving big teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United etc, hmmmm there is war.

These ones are better coaches, they have better formations and it goes on and on. Averagely, these set of people gather from as early as 8am till like 11 am before they disperse to gather briefly again in the evening.

Lagos the town where when people experience tragedy, when people gather together to discuss it and probably feel sympathetic towards the victims, they tend to exchange stories of even worse tragedies of that nature they have seen or experienced.

The implication being that hey, count yourself lucky its just a child you lost, do you know the man a lost four in the same circumstance.SMH

Hmm, someone just described a location to me, says its the best Amala joint in Alausa axis, have to go do my findings.

There is never a dull moment in the centre of excellence. Share your experience
