Chibok Girls: Journalist Declared Wanted By EFCC Releases Statement.

There seems to be confusion within the Nigerian Army and the Presidency, as one of the declared wanted citizens, Ahmed U. Bolori, ‎showed up at the military barracks in Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State, with no one willing to arrest, or interrogate him.

It could be recalled, that ‎the Nigerian Army, had sequel to the video released by Boko Haram, declared three people wanted, which include: Ahmed Sakilda, a Journalist; Ahmed U. Bolori and Aisha Wakil, a Lawyer.

In a statement on Sunday, August, 14, Ahmed Salkida, was reported to have released a ‎‎YouTube video, posted on his twitter handle, in which Boko Haram ‎accused the Nigerian army of killing dozens of the Chibok girls in the ongoing air strike.

In a message released by an American based Journalist, Professor ‎Farook Kperoogi, Mr. Bolori was said to have reported at “the top military barracks in Maiduguri, waited for more than two hours, but there was no one to interrogate or arrest him.”

Amidst the development, ‎Salkida,‎ another wanted Nigerian Journalist‎, on Monday afternoon, released a statement saying: “‎My attention has be drawn to to a‎ public notice put out by the Nigerian Army and signed by Col. Sani Kukasheka Usman, Acting Director, Army Public Relations.

“The statement declaring me wanted, seeks culpable grounds to punish me on account of “last two videos released by Boko Haram terrorists and other findings…” by the Army.

“Clearly, my status as a Nigerian Journalist who has reported extensively, painstakingly and consistently on the Boko Haram menace in the country since 2006, is an open book known to Nigerians and the international community.

“Equally, my total allegiance and sacrifice to the Federal Republic of Nigeria is self evident.

“I have stayed within the creed of professional journalism in my work.

“As a testimony to the credible and professional values of my access, since May 2015, l have been to Nigeria three times on the invitation of Federal Government agencies.

“I made personal sacrifices for the release of our Chibok daughters.

“Finally, the Army is aware that I am not in Nigeria presently.

“In the coming days, I will seek to get a flight to Abuja and avail myself to the Army authorities.

“Indeed, my return will be hastened if the Military sends me a ticket”, Salkida said.

Meanwhile, one of the parents of the missing Chibok girl, Esther Yakubu, Mrs Dorcas Yakubu, has accused the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government, of lacking the competence to secure the release of the Chibok girls.

She decried that ‎after seeing her daughter speak in the new video released by Boko Haram, she has no option than to conclude that President Buhari was not doing enough to secure the girls.

‎“The Chibok girls must be rescued, they must have their lives, the future that Boko Haram tries to truncate,” she said in an emotional outburst.
